Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President HR Plasman Europe. This role will lead the execution of Plasman's overall HR Agenda in Europe and contribute to fostering a high-performance and engaging culture which enables people to grow and develop within the company. The VP HR will partner with executive leadership to drive talent strategy, organizational design, leadership development, and employee relations across multiple sites and countries in Europe. The VP HR will as well partner with the VP HR in North America to ensure alignment and standardization.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive HR Agenda aligned with Plasman’s business objectives and core values.
Lead talent acquisition and workforce planning to ensure the company attracts and retains the right skills and capabilities.
Design and oversee programs for leadership development, succession planning, performance management, and employee engagement.
Drive diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to create an equitable and respectful workplace.
Ensure consistent, fair, and compliant HR practices across all sites by deploying corporate HR standards and best practices.
Provide coaching and counsel to senior leaders on organizational design, change management, and employee relations.
Oversee total rewards strategy including compensation, benefits, and recognition programs to remain competitive and sustainable.
Lead HR operations, including HRIS optimization, policy development, and HR analytics to support data-driven decisions.
Regular HR support to European Headquarters, including Office support.
Payroll Sweden, located in Simrishamn
Manage relationships with external partners, legal counsel, and regulators to ensure compliance with labor laws and corporate governance.
Champion a safety-first culture and ensure HR practices reinforce Plasman’s Safety & Integrity value.
Represent HR at the executive level and contribute to corporate strategy and long-term planning.
Qualifications
Proven strategic HR leadership with strong business acumen from the automotive industry.
Excellent communication skills in Swedish and English, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative leadership style that promotes trust and accountability.
Solid knowledge and experience of Swedish employment law in particular, and European employment law in general.
Experience implementing HR systems and leveraging HR metrics to drive performance.
Track record in talent management, succession planning, and leadership development programs.
Change management expertise and experience leading cultural transformations.
High degree of integrity, sound judgment, and commitment to Plasman’s core values.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and with cross-functional teams.
Role may require national and international travel to visit sites, lead projects, and support HR initiatives.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in HR) preferred.
Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role, ideally within manufacturing or automotive industries.
Demonstrated experience leading multi-site and international HR operations.
