The Role

As Director for Quality your will be leading Plasman Europe into achieving our quality targets. We are a dynamic company with a European footprint supplying exterior automotive components that makes a difference for our customer. We service our customers to achieve the desired design and appeal their product’s needs. With Plasman's passion for exterior products we make sure that the quality live up to our customers high standards. Plasman is a proud supplier to several premium OEMs within Europe both for cars and trucks.

Automotive is a fast paced and highly rewarding industry which is in the forefront of quality requirements and supply chains. You will be a member of the Operations Management Team and also the extended management team of Plasman EU. Together with your own team this is the base from which you will collaborate with needed functions to achieve our targets.

We are looking for a person who is passionate about quality, for us that means that you are able to turn our targets into tangible actions and engage your team in achieving them. You will be leading the Quality managers in each plant to ensure that we move forward as One Driving Force. Your ability to collaborate within Plasman but also with our customers are vital to thrive in this role. You ensure development of your staff and our operational performance by your leadership skills and ambitions.

Besides the Quality network with the plants you also manages a team across Europe. The members of your team are responsible for supplier, project quality and our management systems including ISO, IATF and similar qualifying management control systems. The role will require travels within Europe to our plants and an ability to collaborate with different cultures. Location of this position can be in any of our current plants, engineering center or Headquarter. Regardless of location you will be part of the European Headquarter organisation and report to VP Operations. 

Education and experience requirements:

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role within a production or manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record in managing quality systems in a certified environment.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience in team development and performance management.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English. 
• In-depth understanding of project management principles and strategies.
• Ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance quality processes across our European operations.
• Collaborate with departmental leaders to align quality objectives with business goals.
• Lead cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and efficiency in quality protocols.
• Establish and monitor Plasman's key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on quality performance.

• Ensuring project deliveries according to our Project Management Process (APQP).

• Foster a culture of quality by conducting training programs and promoting awareness.
• Oversee the management of supplier quality relationships and conduct audits as necessary.
